Peritoneal Dialysis Workshops for Health-care Providers:

Peritoneal Dialysis workshops are being offered on a monthly basis to staff interested in learning more about this modality of renal replacement therapy. These sessions provide an overview of PD as well as learning lab experience with both CAPD and APD. Nephrology Nursing Journal Club

MRP Journal Club takes place June 12 with both in-person and telehealth options. The topic is Manifestation and Management of Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Disease (ADPKD) presented by Kelly Kocsis, RN, CNephC, Clinical Nurse Educator.

Objectives:

  • Review of ADPKD
  • Assessment of ADPKD
  • Management of ADPKD
  • Support of patients and Healthcare Professional

Wednesday June 12 17:30 – 19:30 at DeLuca’s – 950 Portage Avenue. $20 per person cash at the door. RSVP by May 31st, 2019.

Cultural Safety & Competence Education Opportunities

WRHA Indigenous Health offers several workshops that provide cultural education. The workshops are beneficial for health-care staff seeking to build awareness and understanding in order to provide better care for Indigenous patients and their families. The program often accepts out of region participants (other RHAs etc).
