Every year there are changes in how and where kidney health care services are being utilized by the patient population.

This snapshot highlights key numbers to outline the scope of Manitoba Renal Program’s services during the fiscal year of April 2019 to March 2020.

Patient Population Year Over Year Growth

Patient growth overall increased during the 2019 to 2020 fiscal year compared to growth in the year prior. The growth largely occurred in the early stage CKD patient population.

This year saw net increases of 38 dialysis patients (lower than average though the prior year was higher than average) and 529 clinic patients versus numbers of 83 and 473, respectively, the year before.
