Ensure you are qualified
For nurses: ensure you meet the qualifications for hemodialysis nursing as listed in the job description. Nurses must pass the Manitoba Nephrology Nursing Course pre-entrance exam to proceed.

Complete any required training
For nurses: once hired, you will be enrolled into the Manitoba Nephrology Nursing Course.
The Manitoba Nephrology Nursing Course
The Manitoba Nephrology Nursing Course (MNNC) is a nine-week course that prepares nurses to care for patients during their hemodialysis treatments. The MNNC is required to work in a hemodialysis unit and is the entry point into Nephrology Nursing in Manitoba.
Successful completion of the Self Learning Package exam (minimum grade 70%) is required to qualify for the MNNC.
