Kidney Health in Manitoba: Information for Non-renal Health-care Providers & Health Staff

With March being Kidney Health Month in Canada and World Kidney Day happening March 12th – we are offering kidney health education for non-renal care providers in the province. This is a basic introduction to chronic kidney disease.

Telehealth & Webinar Presentation
Thursday, March 5th, 2020 12 – 1 pm

Objectives:

  • Provide an overview of the impact of kidney disease in Manitoba
  • Discuss chronic kidney disease causes and symptoms
  • Talk about early detection and prevention

Presentation plus a Q & A with nephrology care experts:

  • Nickie Cool, RN – Transition Coordinator MRP
  • Dr. Paul Komenda – Nephrologist (MRP) and Research Director (CDIC)
  • Gord Basaraba, Renal Pharmacist, HSC Winnipeg, MRP
  • Glenda Peebles, Aboriginal Patient Liaison, MRP
