Thousands of kilometres into his ride and only days from home, Dale has had to postpone finishing the trip due to an infection. Dale you pretty much biked all the way across Canada and inspired hundreds, if not thousands, of people. Congratulations – this is a victory. We continue to cheer you on and hope you are feeling better soon.
“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have made one of the hardest decisions in my life today and decided after half way riding to Cache Creek today that I need to put my Believe In The Possibility ride temporarily on hold. I’ve been nursing a small catheter infection all the way across Canada but today the pain and discomfort had become too unbearable and I ran a risk of further complications. I’m scheduled for surgery tomorrow at 10am to have the catheter removed and have a temporary hemodialysis line put in. I’m so sorry and apologize greatly to all of my friends, family and supporters for disappointing you and not finishing on schedule. I still intend on finishing riding to the end as soon as I’m healed up.”
