MRP Dietitians Rhonda Derkatch and Noreen Gnitzinger presented to Manitoba MLAs on March 10 about their work as part of the allied-health team that cares for chronic kidney disease patients.
“This was a great opportunity to showcase the work of Registered Dietitians in our program, and the difference we make by educating patients on using nutrition to help manage each stage of kidney disease and live their best,” says Derkatch.
The Premier of the Province was there, the Honourable Greg Selinger; the Honourable Andrew Swan, Minister of Justice; Honourable Sharon Blady, Minister of Healthy Living and Seniors and Myrna Driedger, Health Critic, as well as 20 other MLAs.
