Kidney Health Manitoba is pleased to announce the reopening of its Dialysis Unit 1 at Seven Oaks General Hospital, effective Monday, April 27, 2026 at 7:30 a.m.
With the reopening of the Dialysis Unit 1, dialysis services will return to regular operating hours, and night dialysis will no longer be required.
Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) services will continue at the current temporary location in Urgent Care until renovations to the primary space are complete. Full PD services will remain available, including referrals, triage, assessments, catheter insertions, and training.
New Home Hemodialysis (HHD) referrals will continue without interruption, including timely triage, home assessments, and training, and HHD respite services will also continue.
General Kidney Clinic services will continue without interruption at the current temporary location.
Members of the care team will contact affected patients directly to discuss these changes.
Kidney Health Manitoba extends its thanks to patients, families, caregivers, and staff for their patience and cooperation during the response to the unanticipated water main break. We acknowledge the professionalism and commitment of staff at Seven Oaks throughout this period. We also recognize the contributions of colleagues across the dialysis community, regionally, and provincially whose coordination and collaboration supported care delivery during this time.
