Interested in learning more about peritoneal dialysis? Manitoba Renal Program is hosting three educational events for health-care providers in Manitoba.


November Topic – Peritoneal Dialysis: An Overview

Wednesday, November 18
11 am – 12 pm CST

Learn:

  • The benefits of peritoneal dialysis
  • Who is or is not a candidate for peritoneal dialysis
  • Basic peritoneal dialysis terminology

This event will take place via Teams. Register below and instructions will be provided.

The Speaker

Dr. Sara Dunsmore is a Nephrologist & Medical Director of Peritoneal Dialysis at Seven Oaks General Hospital. She was previously a nephrologist at the Brandon Regional Health Centre after receiving training in Toronto. Dr. Dunsmore attended medical school and internal medicine training at the University of Manitoba.


Please register in order to receive a CE hours certificate. If you do not register, you will not be provided one.

How to join:

DESKTOP:

1. Ensure you are using a device with sound/speakers/earphones. A microphone will allow you to ask questions out loud. There is a chat function to type questions as well. A camera/webcam is optional.

3. Click the link sent to you in the appointment: Join Microsoft Teams Meeting

4. Click “Open in web browser”

5. Sign into the meeting with your name (or initials if you would like to remain anonymous)

6. Familiarize yourself with meeting functions:

  • Mute your microphone
  • Please turn video off for this webinar
  • Use the “Chat” tool to ask questions

MOBILE:

1. Download the Microsoft Teams App

2. Click the link sent to you in the appointment: Join Microsoft Teams Meeting

3. Click “Open in Teams” (app)

4. “Join as Guest”

5. Sign into the meeting with your name

6. Familiarize yourself with meeting functions:

  • Mute your microphone
  • Please turn video off for this webinar
  • Use the “Chat” tool to ask questions

TROUBLESHOOTING:

  • Check Device Settings – to see which speaker is being used on your end
  • If you are experiencing sound issues, try muting your mic and turning your video off
  • Try leaving and reconnecting
